Our Health Guarantee

I, the breeder of the purchased pup, and owner of the sire and dam, guarantee the health of the puppy at time of purchase. The pup was examined and received the first set of shots from [Insert our Veterinarian's name and contact information]. The health record was supplied to you at time of sale.

Within 10 days of purchase, if a veterinarian determines that your dog is clinically ill or has died from injury sustained or illness likely to have been contracted on or before the date of sale, you have the following options:

a) Return the dog for a complete refund; b) Return the dog for replacement for dog of equal value; OR c) Retain the dog and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinarian fees, not exceeding the puppy purchase price.

This option does not apply when a seller, at time of sale, provides a health certificate issued by a veterinarian, disclosing in writing the health problem for which the buyer later seeks to return a dog.

2) If within one year of purchase, a licensed veterinarian determines through physical examination, diagnostic testing, and/or necropsy to have or have died from a congenital or hereditary defect, the purchaser may exercise one of the following options:

a)Return puppy for refund of purchase price. b)Return puppy for a replacement dog of equal value of the purchaser's choice, providing a replacement is available. c)Retain dog and be entitled to reimbursement for medical expenses not to exceed the purchase price of the dog. The veterinarian's certification of such defect shall be supplied at purchaser's expense and shall include the following:

1)The purchasers' names and addresses. 2)The date the dog was examined. 3)The breed and age of the dog. 4)That a certified veterinarian examined the dog and the dog has or had a congenital or hereditary defect that renders it unfit for purchase or resulted in its death. 5)Treatment recommended, if any, and the estimated cost of such treatment. 6)The veterinarian's name, address, telephone number, and signature.

4)Within two business days of the veterinary examination that certifies the defect, death, or illness, the purchaser shall notify the seller of the following: veterinarian's name, address and telephone number of the examining veterinarian. Failure to notify the seller within two days or failure to carry out recommended treatment of veterinarian shall result in purchaser's forfeiture of rights under this section. Rights under this section shall not apply to any health problem that the seller fully discloses at time of sale.
